Level 2 Apprenticeship in Performing Engineering Operations

Course Description
This new apprenticeship programme will put you in pole position for a rewarding and enjoyably career working within the Engineering Environment. As an apprentice you will work in the workplace for four days and attend college one day a week. You could be working within a multi-national company or with an independent engineering company.

Apprentices who wish to develop their skills in the following:

Work safely in an engineering environment and have a sound knowledge of Health & Safety and Risk Assessment.
Work efficiently & effectively by themselves or as part of a team
Communicate well with others and are literate & numerate.
Understand technical information and drawing.
Use a variety of hand and power tools to either manufacture or maintain equipment.
Assemble, disassemble, maintain, lubricate and fault find on mechanical devices.
Assemble, disassemble, maintain and fault find on electrical equipment.

Furthermore they will be aware of the goals and the values of company that they work for.
